HOUSEWIFE SELF-MEDICATION KNOWLEDGE AND MANAGEMENT OF DRUGS FEVER IN REJOSARI VILLAGE

Background: The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia explains that self-medication is an attempt by
someone to treat symptoms of a disease without consulting a doctor. Self-dification also means treating all
complaints on oneself with simple medicines that are purchased freely at pharmacies or drug stores on their own
initiative without doctor's advice
Objectives: To find out how knowledgeable the women of Rejosari Hamlet are on fever medicines and whether the
women of Rejosari Hamlet have carried out self-medication for fever based on their knowledge. Then the results
of the Chi Square test were carried out to see if there was a relationship between knowledge and the management
of fever medication.
Method: the research data was carried out by total sampling of women in Rejosari Hamlet who were willing to be
research respondents.
The results of the study: of the 38 housewives of Rejosari Hamlet, 19 respondents had good knowledge of fever
self-medication and had already implemented it.
Conclusion: the knowledge of the housewives of Rejosari Hamlet regarding fever self-medication is in the good
category 50% and management 60% quite good.
