Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Permata Indonesia (JPMPI)
Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Permata Indonesia (JPMPI) is committed to maintaining academic integrity and does not tolerate plagiarism or any other form of academic misconduct. All authors are responsible for ensuring that their submitted manuscripts are original and that all sources, ideas, data, quotations, and other materials derived from previous works are properly acknowledged and cited.
Plagiarism Screening
All submitted manuscripts may be subjected to a plagiarism and similarity check during the editorial process using an appropriate similarity detection software.
The similarity screening is conducted to identify substantial overlap between the submitted manuscript and previously published or publicly available works. The Editor may also examine the context and source of the similarity because a similarity score alone does not necessarily indicate plagiarism.
Manuscripts containing substantial or inappropriate similarities may be returned to the authors for clarification or revision. Manuscripts with clear evidence of plagiarism may be rejected.
Forms of Plagiarism
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:
-
Copying text, ideas, concepts, data, figures, tables, or other materials from another source without appropriate acknowledgment.
-
Presenting another person's work or ideas as one's own.
-
Using substantial portions of previously published work without proper citation or permission where required.
-
Paraphrasing another author's work without appropriate attribution.
-
Self-plagiarism, including substantial reuse of one's own previously published material without proper citation or disclosure.
-
Duplicate or redundant publication of substantially similar work.
-
Manipulating or concealing the source of previously published material.
Editorial Action
If plagiarism or substantial inappropriate similarity is identified before publication, the Editor may take one or more of the following actions, depending on the severity of the case:
-
Request an explanation or clarification from the authors.
-
Request appropriate revision and citation of the source.
-
Require substantial revision of the manuscript.
-
Reject the manuscript.
-
Refer the matter for further investigation when serious academic misconduct is suspected.
If plagiarism is discovered after publication, JPMPI may take appropriate corrective action, which may include issuing a correction, editorial notice, or retraction, depending on the nature and severity of the violation.
Author Responsibility
Authors are fully responsible for the originality and integrity of their submitted manuscripts. Authors must properly cite all sources and obtain permission when required for the use of copyrighted materials.
Submission of a manuscript to JPMPI constitutes the authors' confirmation that the manuscript is their original work, has been appropriately attributed, and has not been submitted simultaneously to another journal.
JPMPI follows recognized principles of publication ethics, including the recommendations and best practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), in handling suspected cases of plagiarism and other forms of publication misconduct.
