Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are a leading cause of global mortality, accounting for 17.9 million deaths annually, or 31% of all deaths worldwide. This condition also ranks as the top cause of death in Indonesia. The government has made efforts in both promotive and preventive measures, as well as curative interventions through the Chronic Disease Management Program (Prolanis) and Integrated Coaching Post (Posbindu) to prevent CVD complications. However, community-based activities and initiatives, particularly related to Medication Information Services (MIS), require ongoing support. Posbindu Kenanga 3 Manggulan, in collaboration with the Permata Indonesia Health Polytechnic Yogyakarta, aims to enhance health literacy through a series of MIS activities held at Posbindu Kenanga 3 Manggulan on September 23, 2023. The event was attended by 15 participants. The objective of this event was to enhance public understanding of medications used in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. By incorporating interactive discussion sessions between participants and pharmacists, the activity provided better knowledge to the attendees, boosting their confidence in managing their health conditions, and improving adherence to medications. The high enthusiasm displayed by the participants is anticipated to create a positive impact in reducing cardiovascular disease risks and enhancing patients' quality of life.
